Life is a Highway

Today was a very big day for me!  It was my last day at home and I got to spend it with my closest friends and family.  My dad cooked my favorite dinner for my mom and I and I got to see my grandma, aunt, cousin and my really good friend Sarah.  The car is all packed and ready to go except for a few last minute items.  Everything feels surreal right now and bittersweet.  I’m going to miss my family and friends but I look forward to the promise of new friendships and I can’t wait to see what life brings me starting tomorrow.  Now, if that was too sappy for you, I also told you that I did something really big and exciting today.  What was that? MY ROAD TEST!!  And I passed (finally, it only took me a year and a half to actually try and take the test!).  It feels nice to have the extra freedom (even if my school doesn’t allow freshmen to have cars…and not like I have one anyway :P) and I celebrated with a solo trip to the grocery store.  So needless to say, today was pretty exciting and I can’t wait to see what new adventures begin tomorrow. I foresee a change in my blog name too!  I guess what started as only one summer of blogging is going to become something bigger.
